We are seeking to recruit a Senior Engineer to join our Lighting & Energy Solutions team based in our London and South East Regional offices. This position could also be based in Hertford or Southampton.

You will have the opportunity to work on a range of significant projects based on the Westminster City Council Public Lighting Contract working on large public realm improvement and highways maintenance projects based in a prestigious area of London working for our local government end client and in partnership with FM Conway.

As Senior Engineer you will support the Westminster City Council Lighting Design Manager in delivering quality control and assurance to the project management processes for the day-to-day operation of the Lighting asset management. In doing so you will follow agreed Local Government systems and processes.

Responsibilities of the role:

You will be required to assist with the document control for all documents received and issued from the team. Duties will include:

• Support of one of the largest lighting design teams in the country and a diverse global consultancy
• Access to guidance documents and valuable resources to help technical understanding.
• Development opportunities as an individual and as a team lead if required.
• Opportunity to deliver prospects, projects, and technical documents.
• Exposure to key clients and stakeholders, plus the opportunity to build your professional portfolio
• Membership with the Institution of Lighting Professionals (ILP) or Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and support with Engineering Council registration (EngTech, IEng, CEng)
• CPD opportunities and support in attending industry recognised events and seminars

• Registration with the Engineering Council (EngTech, IEng or CEng)
• Proficient in the use of Lighting Reality Design Software and AutoCAD.
• Have a good Electrical design and operations Knowledge and understanding;
• Are able to demonstrate competency and experience within a lighting design project;
• Able to coach and mentor junior members of the design team;
• A good understanding of central management systems;
• Are able to work independently, and as part of a team;
• Can prioritise and be flexible;
• Experience of working within the Local Government sector
