SalaryThe Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre is looking for a Senior Engineer in Manufacturing Digitalisation with proven technical knowledge and experience who are excited to work in a centre that is a global destination for technology and innovation.
We are recruiting to build our engineering teams in Digital Factory to support the development of innovative and emerging industry-focussed solutions.
As Senior Engineeryou will apply your specialist knowledge and experience of methods and processes, to generate innovative research outputs. You will work collaboratively with your team, industry, technology providers, national technology centres and academia to deliver key projects focused on advanced manufacturing.
This role is aimed at candidates with relevant experience in an industrial or academic research & innovation environment.

The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:
- Honours degree, or equivalent, in related computing or engineering discipline with significant relevant experience in a manufacturing-related environment OR minimum HND in a related discipline with extensive recent and relevant industrial experience.
- Demonstrable recent and relevant experience in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or low code systems development, with demonstrable
- Demonstrable experience in the integration of manufacturing applications with industrial systems such as IIOT platforms/PLM, MES or supply chain solutions, showing understanding of fundamental IOT, data harvesting and storage concepts.
- Demonstrable evidence of competence in the architecture of data flow from multiple sources, development of Apps, reports and dashboards to communicate data effectively to end user.
- Demonstrable evidence of working within multifaceted environments delivering to deadlines and within budget.
- Experience of using research/industrial tools and techniques resulting in high quality projects and technical reports.

The post will be appointed for 3 years in the first instance. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
