Senior Estimating Manager
We are supporting a large-scale systems integrator into a government client with an urgent requirment for a Senior Estimating Manager. As a Senior Estimating Manager you will be responsible for the the management of people and resources across Cost Estimates for high value and complex projects within the construction industry.
Hourly Rate - £63.00 to overall assignment rate of umbrella
Duration - 6 - 12 Months
Location - London or Birmingham (you are required to go on site two - three days a week)
The Role
- In line with Risk Management, you will be required to ensure Cost Management Principles and Processes are aligned. Furthermore, establishing contingency requirements within overall budgets envelop
- You will be required to undertake reviews of Cost Estimates in which will include challenging proposals using cost benchmarks and norms review processes
- You will be working to develop the Cost Baselines, monitoring progresses and taking corrective actions in the management costs
- Demonstration of best practices by working on complex estimations and work to develop the supporting estimate deliverable; methodologies, basis documents and risk assessments
- You will be working with a variety of data to develop cost models in particular indirect costs
Key Skills and Requirements
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, you will be working with a variety of business leaders to gather their requirements and implement this into your work
- Experience of working to convert estimates into budgets for control purposes as well as monitoring and evaluating risks, opportunities and control measures
- Have previously worked within Infrastructure Estimating Programmes or complex construction programmes
- Membership of the RICS, ACostE, ICES or similar
