Senior Field Service Engineer

We are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Field Service Engineer with proven history in the Diesel Generator Industry.

Skills & experience requirements for this position:
• Mechanical Apprentice served or proven history in the industry.
• Proven history in Diesel Generator field across a wide range of manufacturers.
• Able to conduct, routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs.
• A strong understanding of engine controls and fault finding.
• Ability to strip down and rebuild of diesel engines.
• Able to work unsupervised. Preferred but not an immediate requirement:
• Battery impedance testing- (will be a requirement to learn)
• Static/ Rotary UPS maintenance (will be a requirement to learn)
• 18th Edition (opportunity to achieve qualification but not a requirement)

Job Description

This role will involve travelling to and from our customers sites, due to the nature of services we offer our customers you will be required most workdays to report to our business address to enable loading of work van for required works. This is not a position where you are on call working from your home location. You will need to be able to collaborate with a team or work as a stand alone engineer dependant on job requirements:
• This Engineering role requires to be on call for a seven-day period, for out of hours cover via our on-call rota, which will be based on being every fifth / sixth week.
• Areas of our work require the need for staying away from home, the company will cover all work-related expenses.
• Weekend working will be required for some of our customers sites, we operate a flexi hour system to allow time off during the week.
• Full UK driving licence is a requirement of this role. 

 Salary range is advertised as  £36,000 – 45,000 basic, hours worked outside of our normal working week would be paid at the higher relevant overtime rate.
