CSG / Finance Operations / Accounts Receivable

Full-time: 35 hours per week

Open-ended

Location: 9-16 Chambers Street, Edinburgh EH1 1HT

Hybrid working, currently expecting at least 2 days working on site

We are looking for a Senior Finance Assistant – Accounts Receivable.

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Senior Finance Assistant to join our Accounts Receivable Team, which forms part of the Finance Operations team structure.

Finance Operations has been created as part of an organisational transformation programme and aims to provide a consistent, high-quality service to the University and external customers. The team brings together Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and banking activities into one expert team with consistent processes, systems and policies.

The Senior Finance Assistant will:

  • Identify and resolve issues with Finance Operation processes in Receivables Ledgers.
  • Identify and recommend changes to Finance Operations processes and procedures, ensuring an effective feedback loop for continuous improvement.
  • Report on Finance Operations Service levels and key performance indicators.

Your skills and attributes for success:

You will be positive and extremely customer focused with good interpersonal and communication skills, great attention to details and the ability to deal confidently with a diverse customer base.

You should have solid credit control and sales ledger experience as well as strong IT skills, be able to work consistently to extremely tight deadlines whilst demonstrating a thorough understanding of financial controls.
