Job Title: Senior Finance Lead-Business Partner

Location: Sutton, Greater London

Salary: £400/day

Contract Type: 3-Month Contract, Hybrid (1-2 days in office)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Finance Lead-Business Partner to join dynamic team at a local authority in Sutton. This pivotal role offers a daily rate of £400 and presents a unique chance to contribute to the financial planning processes crucial to the local authority's success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead core corporate financial planning processes, including budget setting, monitoring, and closing of accounts.
• Ensure financial planning aligns with Council priorities and supports accurate decision-making for the senior leadership team.
• Drive improvements to deliver strategic themes.
• Provide financial Business Partnering support to corporate core and frontline service areas.
• Act as a critical friend to the Council, delivering insightful financial analysis to support business improvement and change.

Requirements:

• Qualified/Part-qualified CCAB - CIPFA/Local Authority experience.
• Experience in delivering high-quality finance services in a large organisation.
• Proven ability to operate effectively in a customer-focused environment.
• Proficiency in Google applications, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, or similar software packages.
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial and non-financial information, communicating effectively.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with finance and non-finance professionals.
