Responsibilities in your new role
In this role, the primary responsibilities involve reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and collaborating closely with Senior Finance Managers on various finance projects. The focus includes enhancing process efficiency and contributing recommendations for the improvement of monthly management accounts. Additionally, responsibilities extend to generating ad hoc reports, key performance indicators (KPIs), cash flow models, annual budgets, and quarterly four-year forecasts. The position requires providing comprehensive support for business planning, performance evaluation, and decision-making throughout the organisation. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the CFO in identifying, evaluating, and implementing investment opportunities aimed at enhancing intrinsic value in the business. Moreover, the role encompasses primary oversight of all finance IT systems, with a proactive approach to leading developments, improvements, and implementations.
Your personality, experience and qualifications
We are currently seeking a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA) with a minimum of five years of post-qualification expertise in financial accounting, management reporting, business modelling, and analytics. The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial acumen, showcasing a proven ability to influence, persuade, and collaborate effectively with personnel at all organisational levels.
This role necessitates a high level of proficiency in IT, coupled with a genuine enthusiasm for leveraging technology to enhance the efficiency, productivity, and resilience of finance operations. Profound skills in Advanced Excel, encompassing power pivot/query, macros, and adherence to modelling best practices, such as fast business analysis, are imperative. Familiarity with software tools such as Power BI and Power Automate is considered advantageous.
