Are you a Qualified Finance Manager looking for your next challenge?
We have an opportunity to join us to lead one of our hedge accounting teams. This team is responsible for constructing hedge packages for liquid asset investments, wholesale funding and capital transactions, as well as managing fx portfolio hedges.
As a leader in the team you'll be a key business partner to other Finance teams and will play a key role in shaping the design of our new Treasury system and developing the hedge accounting team.
Day to day you'll;
- Minimise Banking Volatility through the understanding of market risk and hedge accounting approaches.
- Lead a team of technical specialists, identifying development opportunities and driving successful performance.
- Nurture relationships with key internal colleagues and acting as an effective and pro-active business partner.
- Use your knowledge to develop solutions and make authoritative recommendations which can have a significant impact on the business.
- Ensure that the control environment remains strong and processes continue to evolve in order to meet business needs.

What you'll need
- Qualified accountant with significant experience in a banking treasury environment.
- Advanced knowledge of banking products, including derivatives, and a keen interest in financial markets.
- Excellent understanding of accounting rules for financial instruments, including IAS39.
- A track record of operational improvement, implementing best practice and strengthening controls.
- Strong relationship management skills with the ability to influence others.
- Advanced line management abilities, including coaching, task management and talent development.
