Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be working with a leading manufacturing business in Barnsley as they look to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant into their head office group finance team.
This role will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of the financial information for the UK and preparation of legal/government returns.

It will be a varied role with duties to include: -
- Posting month end journals and reports
- Completion of balance sheet reconciliations and SOX reporting after month end
- Reviewing of journals, balance sheet reconciliations and SOX reporting to tight deadlines
- Statutory accounts completion
- Fixed asset register maintenance
- Tax packs analysis and tax packs completion
- Assistance with audit queries
- Any other ad hoc tasks in line with assisting UK Chief Accountant
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experiences: -
- Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA
- Experience of financial and management accounts preparation
- Able to demonstrate team building skills and being a team player
- Good verbal and written communicator at all levels and in varying situations
- General ledger experience essential
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and team working skills
