My client are looking to appoint a new Financial Accountant to join the local team. The business is a large, international company with multiple operational sites in the UK. This role focusses on the production of annual and periodic financial accounts and is a significant role in the team

Description

The Senior Financial Accountant is a key role in the finance team and will mean that you will be integral to the month end, quarter end and year end process. Key duties include:

• Preparation and presentation of statutory financial statements.
• Ensuring company's compliance with all tax filings and regulations.
• Liaising with external auditors.
• Reviewing and improving financial reporting processes.
• Contributing to the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Providing financial advice and support to colleagues and management.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant financial regulations.
• Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc projects as required.

Profile

The successful Senior Financial Accountant should have:

• A Professional accountancy qualification (ACA or ACCA / equivalent).
• Excellent knowledge of statutory accounting and financial reporting.
• Ideally an understanding of or experience working in a manufacturing environment
• International reporting experience (IFRS, UK GAAP)
• Strong communication and team-working skills.
