Description
The Senior Financial Accountant is a key role in the finance team and will mean that you will be integral to the month end, quarter end and year end process. Key duties include:
- Preparation and presentation of statutory financial statements.
- Ensuring company's compliance with all tax filings and regulations.
- Liaising with external auditors.
- Reviewing and improving financial reporting processes.
- Contributing to the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Providing financial advice and support to colleagues and management.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant financial regulations.
- Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc projects as required.
Profile
The successful Senior Financial Accountant should have:
- A Professional accountancy qualification (ACA or ACCA / equivalent).
- Excellent knowledge of statutory accounting and financial reporting.
- Ideally an understanding of or experience working in a manufacturing environment
- International reporting experience (IFRS, UK GAAP)
- Strong communication and team-working skills.
