Senior Financial Accountant

Quest Search & Selection are currently working with this omnichannel retail business who have over 100 stores and a strong presence online and via their member's club. The role of Senior Financial Accountant involves in preparation of consolidated group management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.

Key responsibilities of this Senior Financial Accountant:

• Prepare and analyse financial statements for the group, including consolidated financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance.
• Manage the consolidation process for multiple entities within the group.
• Ensure accurate elimination of intercompany transactions and balances.
• Coordinate with subsidiary finance teams to gather financial data for consolidation.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts for the group.
• Analyse budget variances and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Coordinate with external auditors for the annual audit of group financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with audit requirements and provide necessary documentation.
• Work closely with tax advisors to ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting.
• Assist in the preparation of tax returns and filings for the group.
• Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and business planning.

Key requirements of this Senior Financial Accountant:

• Possess advanced skills in group consolidations and financial modelling capabilities.
• Has good understanding of FRS 102 and current accounting standards.
• Demonstrate proficiency in creating detailed receipts and payments cash flow forecasts.
• Participate in the annual audit procedures for a group of companies.
• Exhibit a strong understanding of basic UK tax compliance regulations.
• Excel proficiency at an advanced level.
• Capable of working within agreed-upon timeframes.
• Holds ACCA/CIMA qualification or is in the process of obtaining it.
