Description
- Supervision off staff for all aspects of ledger maintenance, control and procedures (purchase, sales, nominal ledgers and cash book)
- Drive business improvement through preparation & close management/analysis of ledger KPI's
- Ensuring minimal overdue debt and maintain DSO in line with working capital targets
- Responsible for all tax, intra-stat and statutory reporting
- Preparation of annual statutory accounts pack and tax returns liaising with audit/tax firms
- Assist with annual audit
- Support Head of Finance with the co-ordination and preparation of budget, forecasting and monthly reporting
- Responsibility for maintaining accurate and up to date bank reconciliation and cashbooks
- Management of trade working capital & cashflow forecasting
- IFRS 16 Leases, reporting and understanding of any new IFRS issue requirements and application
- Responsibility for completeness of balance sheet reconciliation and journal documentation files for all areas in preparation for review by Head of Finance
- Maintenance and compliance with control procedures, authorisation matrix and DOA
- Assist Head of Finance and other accounting functions within the Department as and when required
Profile
- Relevant experience in a financial environment
- Fully Qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
- Staff management experience
- Statutory accounts, tax and audit
- Ledger maintenance and BS reconciliations
- Maintaining control processes
- Strong excel skills
- Able to build relationships across the wider senior leadership team
