We are seeking an experienced Accountant with a strong background in industry accounting and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in Accounting and a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience. This role involves working with a dynamic team, managing various accounting tasks, and ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory standards.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Process and reconcile payments, ensuring import/export compliance, particularly within the EU (Essential)
- Generate and review monthly and annual financial reports.
- Maintain compliance with internal accounting procedures and review work to correct any mistakes.
- Understand the overall impact of financial decisions within the company.
- Work effectively within a team environment and manage a range of accounting functions.
- Create policies and risk reports, managing bank relationships, and conducting financial analysis.
- Handle month-end close under strict deadlines and perform complex intercompany reconciliations.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns, liaise with HMRC, and manage multi-currency, multi-location, and shared service accounting tasks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Accounting (M.Com, AAT, ACCA, or ACA).
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in an accounting role within the industry.
- Strong analytical skills and financial reporting knowledge dealing with the EU
- Proficiency in Microsoft NAV or Business Central.
- Intermediate level of Microsoft Excel & Outlook.
- Experience with AP, AR, Bank Reconciliations, and VAT compliance.
- Ability to work well in a team and manage team activities.
- Experience working in a multi-currency, multi-location, and shared service environment.
