SalaryOur local authority client, based near Berkshire are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, proactive contractor to assist with carrying out Food Hygiene and Standards Inspections across the borough. You must be able to carry out the full range of inspections A to E, be able to provide the FHRS on site and manage your own work effectively. This role will entail:
* Carrying out Food Hygiene Inspections (Category B-D, Unrated) (a monthly/weekly target will be set).
* Carrying out Food Standards Inspections (Category B-C, Unrated) (a monthly/weekly target will be set).
In order to be considered, You must hold either a BSc, MSc or Diploma in Environmental Health, accredited by the CIEH. Or you must hold the Higher Certificate in Food Premises Control/ Food Control, accredited by the CIEH, or the APC. You must hold the Environmental Health Registration Board Certificate (EHRB). Have completed and can provide an up-to-date Competency Framework, in line with the Food Law Code of Practice. Up to date Continual Professional Development (CPD).
Recent experience of carrying out food hygiene and standards inspections within a Local Authority setting and have experience in the use of Civica APP / Flare and Arcus.
This is a 4 month contract starting in January. Although Full time is a preference our clients are also happy to consider anyone looking for part time/flexible roles. Pay rate for this will be £55 per hour.
