As we embark on our journey to become a tech-first company, we're seeking an experienced Senior Frontend Engineer to join our team. You'll work in a space where elegance meets innovation, fashion meets function, and where your contributions directly impact the global community of women worldwide.
What you will do at Lounge:
- Drive the architecture, design, and delivery of our user-centric frontend applications.
- Collaborate extensively with engineering, UI/UX, and e-commerce teams to craft seamless user experiences.
- Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Engage in technical discussions, participate in technical designs, and present technical ideas through white boarding and presentations.
- Work with modern web technologies including React, TypeScript, Shopify, Liquid, and Tailwind CSS.
- Utilise tools like Storybook to develop modular and scalable UI components.
- Showcase deep understanding of cloud services, primarily AWS, and the nuances of headless commerce and composable architecture.
- Advocate and implement best practices in TDD, CI/CD, and other areas to ensure top-notch quality and performance.
- Play a role in furthering the tech evolution at Lounge.
- Seamlessly integrate frontend with backend, having a good grasp of NodeJS and frameworks like NestJS.
We would love it if you:
- Proven experience in building, deploying, and maintaining frontend applications. Proficiency with TypeScript, React, Shopify and Jest.
- Comprehensive knowledge of NodeJS and frameworks like NestJS.
- Familiarity with headless commerce and composable architecture Comprehensive understanding of TDD.
- Ability to mentor, guide, and uplift junior members of the team. Experience working in cross-functional, agile environments.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related domain.
- Prior experience in a Software Engineering role.
- Exposure to diverse team structures, from start-ups to large enterprises. An understanding of Terraform.
- An understanding of cloud platforms, specifically AWS.
- An understanding of build tools including Vite, esbuild and Rollup.
