Job description

Central Employment are working in partnership with a top UK digital development consultancy, who engage with leading brands to deliver cutting edge digital solutions & strategies from complex website builds, eCommerce systems to full transformation.   They now require a Senior Full Stack Web Developer (Java/Vue.js), to lead on a number of bespoke, complex web projects but to also manage and mentor a bank of junior developers.  

My client is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer with the motivation and passion to make a difference in engaging creative studio environment. Working in close partnership with their Digital Project Managers, their  level Senior Developers support the technical planning and end-to-end delivery of digital  projects in one of our five small, collaborative production teams. Reporting to the team’s Project Manager you will be one of five other team Senior Developers.

Your duties and responsibilities would include:

  • Technical leadership of projects within the team.
  • Technical design of websites and apps.
  • Creation of technical documentation.
  • Production of code.
  • Creation of test and launch plans.
  • Supporting technical learning and progression within the team.
  • Leading code reviews with junior members of the team.
  • Contributing to the continued progression and improvement of agencies technology platforms.

Key experience required: 

  • Circa 5 years within a Senior Full Stack development role
  • Led/developed a team of Junior-Mid level Developers
  • Excellent coding and problem solving abilities
  • Commercial experience with object oriented languages, such as Java, C# and PHP.
  • Commercial experience of front end web technologies such as Vue.js, Angular, React, SASS and LESS.
  • Commercial experience with Node.js.
  • Experience with web server technology such as Nginx or Apache.
  • Experience of resilient and scalable database design using MySQL or Hibernate/JPA.
  • Commercial experience and skillset to help lead the design and development of large and often complex digital and web applications
  • An understanding of how to create high performance, robust, scalable applications to commercial deadlines.
  • An enthusiasm to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplined team and to lead by example.
  • The ability to take ownership of the technical delivery of projects within a small team.
  • A passion for creating the very best digital applications
  • The drive to continue learning new skills, technologies and frameworks such as modern Java, .NET Core, Blazor, Ionic and more
