Senior Housekeeping Supervisor

St. Joseph’s Care Home is a calm and friendly residential care home. If you are an experienced housekeeper looking for a leadership role at providing a clean and homely environment, we invite you to join our team as a Senior Housekeeper. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our housekeeping department, ensuring that our facilities are clean and safe to a high standard. As a Senior Housekeeper, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of dedicated housekeeping staff and maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout our home.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee and manage a team of housekeepers to ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the home
- Assign tasks and monitor the progress and quality of work performed by the team alongside unit managers
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards and identify areas for improvement
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and submit purchase requests as needed
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and disposal of waste

Skills:

- Proven experience as a Housekeeping Manager or similar role within the residential or nursing homes.
- Excellent leadership skills to effectively manage a team
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning procedures
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
