Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior HR Advisor to join our client based in Kettering. This role is offered on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 2 days a week required onsite.

The ideal Senior HR Advisor will be responsible for providing proactive and solution focused advice to line managers across the organisation to improve performance and support the delivery of the organisations objectives.

The duties of the Senior HR Advisor include:

• Provide solution-based advice and guidance to line managers on all employment matters including the organisations policies and procedures, term and conditions and customer frameworks, making sure to also take account of employment legislations requirements
• Provide a range of options with associated risk factors clearly set out to allow managers to make sound business led decisions, demonstrating professional judgement in the appraisal of those risks.
• Support and coach management through their handling of employee relation cases, performance, appraisals, grievances, redundancy issues and change management programmes
• Liaise with trade unions
• Embed good practice with regarding to the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults by advising managers on the organisations disclosures policy and DBS process
• Support change management projects including service restructures and TUPE transfers using project management approaches to coach managers to drive through change
• Ensure that structural changes are fully implemented and changes to the hierarchy are completed to maintain the integrity of the system
• Ensure and maintain HR systems and ensure all data that is held is accurate and up to date
• Undertake regular data analysis to identify issues and trends are identified
• Undertake allocated corporate and team-based HR project work, including research where appropriate to ensure that projects are delivered on time and to agreed objectives and performance standards
• Support the continuous development of the HR service through input into policy development
• Deliver training for managers and employees on a full range of HR policies
• Drive performance management by coaching and mentoring managers
• Support the job evaluation process by advising and challenging managers on job design and analysis
• Create and promote an inclusive environment and practices where employees can be themselves and are valued for their differences and supported to work at their best

The Senior HR Advisor will ideally have:

• CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience
• Experience of working at a similar level is desirable
• Experience of working in a public sector organisation is desirable
• Experience of Employee Relations and Change Management

The Senior HR Advisor will need to have excellent communication skills and effectively be able to communicate to stakeholders of all levels. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have an impeccable eye for detail and accuracy to ensure all workload is carried out effectively and efficiently. They will also need to able to prioritise their workload and be efficient and effective to meet unpredictable deadlines and deal with conflicting demands, whilst working in a high-pressured environment.
