Join Walsall Council as a Senior HR Advisor, focusing on Policy, Pay, and Reward. This key role supports the maintenance of an equality-proofed pay structure, using NJC job evaluation and HAY grading schemes. You'll play a crucial part in advocating compliance to senior managers.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and monitor the Council’s job evaluation scheme.
- Organize and manage appeals panel processes.
- Provide expertise on market pay rates, participating in benchmarking activities.
- Conduct periodic pay structure reviews and equality impact assessments.
- Contribute to regional and national pay negotiations.
- Shape the ongoing pay and Rewards strategy for attracting high-caliber employees.
- Ensure EDI is integral, meeting all legal requirements.
- Conduct market research and present benchmark data.
- Update relevant databases and IT systems.
