With this in mind, you’ll establish the high quality processes and methodologies we’ll need to transform our approach to people-based change.

You’ll have an enormous range of additional tasks, from providing positive and encouraging support as people go through periods of change, to ensuring that successful project and change management techniques are applied, risks are managed constructively, and continuous improvement is embedded in everything we do. We’ll also expect you to provide professional insights and analysis to Business Partners and other HR teams, lead on developing effective relationships with Trades Unions, and assist with the development of training material that supports new ways of working.

Help to implement HR policies that protect the UK’s interests around the world

As an HR professional with CIPD accreditation, you’ll have superb project management skills and a well developed understanding of how to lead the people aspects of complex change initiatives. You should have a background in employee relations with plenty of operational HR practical experience, and in addition to being capable of leading consultations and negotiations with Trades Unions, you should also have expert knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.

An inspirational leader and networker with the ability to influence and challenge at both junior and senior levels, you’ll have the skills to use data and evidence as you make , effective decisions. A Level 7 CIPD qualification or its equivalent would be desirable, as would an understanding of Civil Service protocols, HR policies and controls, and any experience of working in a commercial environment would be an advantage.

Grow your career in the biggest way possible

When you join us, you’ll be contributing to protecting the nation’s interests at home and overseas. How will we help you in return? We offer a competitive salary, 25-30 days’ annual leave per year (depending on length of service) and a Civil Service pension. While working in the UK you’ll have access to an on-site gym, nursery, canteen, and we offer interest-free loans on season tickets and bikes to help you get there. Above all else, we can offer your job, bigger. As a Senior HR Business Partner you’ll be using all your skills with an organisation that protects people, information and assets around the world.
