About us
The Performance and Information Team provides performance information alongside data analysis and insights to support the work of the Children, Education and Families Directorate. You will be joining the team at an exciting time, where as an organisation we are striving to be data led and embrace new ways of working to help ensure the best possible outcomes for children across the County.
About the role
Oxfordshire County Council's performance and information team is looking for a motivated and ambitious Senior Information Analyst. This person will support our education and special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) teams. You will provide key performance information and analysis to help improve the outcomes for all children in Oxfordshire, playing a key role to ensure we meet all our local and national performance reporting requirements.
You will:
• provide comprehensive, accurate and timely data analysis to key customers enabling evidence-based policy and decision making.
• have experience of managing and leading teams, reporting to senior stakeholders and driving continuous improvement
• ensure statistical returns to government are timely and accurate.
• line manage two Information Analysts.
The successful applicant will work closely with other data-driven teams across the organisation, and our partners, as well as with the professionals in the service areas who produce the raw data and use the analytical outcomes.
About you
You should have experience of working with data to a high level and be able to manage a busy workload and prioritise.
Experience of working with performance reporting systems and tools such as Excel, BusinessObjects and Power BI is required. Training will be provided as necessary to refresh or improve skills.
