Job description

We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced, hands-on, Senior IT Project Manager to join the Information Technology function. You will have the opportunity to manage a range of projects from internal IT transformation projects to large industry-led regulatory change projects.


Role Details:

Salary: £60,000pa to £70,000pa

Bonus: Up to 20% - of Salary

Location: Redhill, RH1 1RHX

Working Pattern: Hybrid working 3 days in the office and 2 at home

Contract type: Permanent

The IT function is responsible for the delivery of IT services to all UK-based divisions to successfully enable our expanding business and assure operational delivery of critical functions and services that are reliant on all aspects of technology to drive revenue growth, improve business efficiency, reduce risk and maximise TotalEnergies customer engagement and alignment.


Operating from the Redhill Office, this role is a critical member of the IT Department and plays a key part in the journey to reinvent how we produce and use energy.


You will have experience working in a B2B environment, delivering complex and technically challenging solutions, sometimes multiple projects at a time, and be able to work confidently and pro-actively with third-party partners.

Role Responsibilities:


Project Management

  • Good understanding of Project Management Frameworks
  • Able to create and develop project plans, confidence in presenting them to senior management.
  • Preparation of presentation material for Project Board meetings
  • Responsible for the resource planning (local or offshore) and efficient control of the teams’ resources ensuring the most cost-effective use of staff.
  • Where applicable, work with 3rd party IT suppliers and partners
  • Closely monitor each allocated project to ensure they remain on track, meet deadlines, stay under budget, and develop according to plan.
  • Responsible not only for identifying project objectives but ensuring they are met.

Communication & Reporting

  • Plan, lead and control meetings and workshops as required for the purpose of taking action, updating plans, and drafting internal messages and communications.
  • Able to collaborate with all business functions not just within IT.
  • Ensure project updates are delivered within the agreed framework in place for tracking and monitoring progress as well as reporting on KPIs and risks, issues, and dependencies.


Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all business stakeholders across TEGP.


Requirements and Skills:

  • Project Management Qualification (Prince2/PMI/APM/Agile)
  • Strong matrix management skills particularly in managing technical staff
  • Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams and utilising both on and offshore resources
  • Experience working within an IT environment where there is a high level of reliance on data and system integration.
  • Experience working in an environment where regulatory change is a major influence on workload and priorities
