Senior It System Administrator

Join us at the world leading CRUK Cambridge Institute. We're a unique department of the University of Cambridge, core funded by Cancer Research UK's charitable activities, and we're eagerly searching for our new Senior Linux Systems Administrator. The IT & Scientific Computing team aims to provide world-class scientific computing facilities to the Institute's researchers. This includes scientific computing equipment, high performance computing, infrastructure for artificial intelligence and deep learning, and high-performance big data storage. This vacancy has arisen in the team for a Systems Administrator to carry out a diverse range of support and system implementation activities. We are looking for an individual with specific skills in RHEL and Ubuntu server and client environments ¿ although you will be encouraged to widen your skills to cover the full range of technologies in use at the Institute, such as Quest Netvault, Slurm Workload Manager, Foreman/Puppet. Experience of working in a academic environment and supporting scientific research are highly desirable. Closing Date for application 14 February 2024.
