Location: High Wycombe - Hybrid Working

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: GBP50,000 - GBP60,000

Currently, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Systems Manager for our esteemed client; a prominent gaming, VFX and post-production company. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team at the forefront of the gaming industry.

The role will be to provide support to the groupwide Network, Server and Computing Infrastructure. Your role will be paramount in supporting any changes, rollouts, maintenance and project management that need to be made to the IT/Network Infrastructure.

As a Senior IT Systems Manager you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing comprehensive IT policies and procedures tailored to the specific needs of our client's gaming environment. You will manage large scale projects and taking ownership of their entire IT Infrastructure.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, mitigate risks, and enhance the overall security posture of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Rollout and Project Management of solutions from the ground-up
  • Develop, review, and update IT policies, standards, and guidelines in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Assess existing IT infrastructure, identify potential gaps or vulnerabilities, and recommend strategies for improvement.
  • Provide expert guidance and consultation to internal stakeholders on IT policy-related matters, including security protocols, data privacy, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate policy requirements into system designs and configurations.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to evaluate adherence to IT policies and identify areas for enhancement.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends, threats, and technologies in the IT security landscape and incorporate relevant insights into policy development.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Technical Consultant, Systems Engineering or similar role, with a focus on IT policy development and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of IT governance frameworks, such as COBIT, ITIL, and ISO 27001.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux, Windows and MacOS
  • Technical background with solid experience in maintaining systems and hardware
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and incident triage
  • Working knowledge of data-centre technologies
  • Experience in networking technologies, IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN's
  • Experience working with helpdesk ticketing software
