Senior It Technician

£27,803 - £31,365 per annum, 37 days holiday rising to 39 days after 5 years' service including Bank Holidays, local government pension scheme and many other benefits

Hays Technology are working in partnership with a large Multi Academy Trust in Birmingham to recruit a Senior IT Technician to support one of its secondary schools on a full-time, on-site basis.
Our client is looking for an experienced IT Technician to support the school's IT Manager with the day-to-day maintenance of the school's computer systems and applications. Ideally you will have experience of working within an educational environment. You may be required to cover in the absence of the IT Manager.
The successful candidate will be:

• Driven to ensure excellent ICT provision for all.
• Hard working, imaginative and have excellent organisational and time management skills.
• A dedicated team player who wants to work and engage with colleagues at all levels.

In order to apply for the role, you must have the following skills and experience:

• Previous experience providing IT Support across a complex organisation.
• Previous experience within an education environment providing technical support.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Experience of supporting school computer systems, applications and associated software and able to advise and support on the implementation of system developments.
• Experience of maintaining AV Systems and equipment.
• IT Asset Management knowledge.

Successful candidates will be subject to a fully Enhanced DBS check along with other relevant employment checks.
