  • Troubleshoot hardware or software problems and develop alternative solutions when necessary.
  • Implement systems for the annual maintenance of all computer equipment (PAT Testing, cleaning, software updates, etc.).
  • Produce video tutorials for staff and student use and provide one-on-one training for staff members when required.
  • Ensure the successful completion, secure storage, and availability of incremental and full backups of all school data in case of emergencies.
  • Undertake IT development projects commensurate with the responsibilities of the role.
  • Develop, maintain, and update the school website as directed by the Network Manager.
  • Advise and liaise with management and staff on significant changes to the website.
  • Perform routine administration tasks related to the IT department.
  • Supervise the work of the Junior Technician ICT.
  • Undertake server management alongside the Network Manager.
  • Oversee asset management.
  • Install and maintain network infrastructure (CAB, switches, servers, cabling, WIFI, VLANs).

General and Review:

Applicants must align with and support the school's ethos by promoting positive relationships with stakeholders, maintaining high standards of student behaviour, adhering to the behaviour policy, presenting themselves professionally, and undergoing relevant training in safeguarding and health and safety standards.
