An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Sheffield City Council’s Legal Services team as a Senior Adult Social Care Lawyer.
The work of the team is fast-paced, and the subject matter is varied and challenging. The responsibilities of the rolel include providing legal advice with respect to a variety of matters and leading a team of friendly and hardworking lawyers and assistants.

We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic, flexible, enjoys working as part of a team and who has a good knowledge and experience of Adult Social Care Law.
The successful candidate will demonstrate that they are able to provide authoritative advice to the Officers of the Council and Members, ensuring that decisions and actions are lawful. Experience of working within the public sector would be useful but is not necessary if the candidate can show requisite experience in Adult Social Care law.
This role is based in Sheffield but we actively support flexible working arrangements and the City is centrally located with excellent transport links, and we consider the wellbeing of our employees in the way we design and deliver our legal services. You can expect the ability to work flexibly, including hybrid working, to be a feature of working for Sheffield City Council.
