This is an exciting time to join the University of St Andrews Libraries & Museums as a Senior Library Assistant (Library Collections). The Unit is currently at the planning stages of an ambitious development of its digital services, beginning with the procurement of a new Library Management System.
We are seeking to appoint a highly-organised team player who can also work independently to join the Library Collections & Digital Services Directorate. The successful candidate will have an understanding of how data can be used to share, deliver and improve services, and will support the development and ongoing delivery of services, including Click & Collect, Inter-Library Loan, Scan & Deliver and digitising content required for Reading Lists. As the team operate across multiple sites, they will be expected to oversee other team members to ensure site-specific objectives are completed accurately and efficiently.
You will have a good general education to Scottish Higher Level or equivalent, be an effective communicator with a team-player attitude who takes an organised approach to their work to ensure daily service deliveries are met effectively and efficiently.
This post is part time (16.38 hours per week) and fixed term until 27 October 2024.
