Senior Management Accountant
Finance department
Permanent vacancy - 37 hours per week
£46,434 per annum
Our new Senior Management Accountant will report directly to the Head of Finance and will be required to fully embed themselves in the financial operation of the college.
You will be expected to lead on and deliver the monthly management packs, ensuring that the management accounts team of 5 delivers accurate and timely information. It will also involve preparing the annual statutory accounts, supporting schedules and liaising with the auditors. This will also include ensuring control over general ledger by ensuring reconciliations are routinely carried out.
This is a challenging and varied role that will require someone with the skills and knowledge of managing a team and liaising with business partners. You will be expected to support several budget holders and develop their financial knowledge. Due to the responsibilities of our Senior Management Accountant post, we require someone who has previous relevant work experience and professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA), with ambitions to undertake further professional qualifications.
