Senior Management Accountant | £50-54k | Achieving for Children | Perm | 1-2 days in Twickenham office
Altum are pleased to be working with Achieving for Children to recruit their Senior Management Accountant role. This is an exciting role which will lead the management accounting function in this geographical area, managing a small team and reviewing existing processes. This role will be specifically working with SEN and Children with Disabilities and therefore working with Dedicated and Non-Dedicated Schools Grants, therefore prior experience in this will be important.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate and timely management accounts for multiple areas of the business, delivering management information that is fit for purpose to drive forward financial performance.
- Produce budgets for various departments ensuring accuracy across these
- Manage 2-3 team members to coordinate the month-end process within the organisation and review all reconciliations
- Work closely with senior stakeholders, providing relevant information regarding budget or funding levels, monitoring and managing the budgeting cycle
- Be the financial expert across Special Educational Needs and Children with Disabilities (DSG & Non-DSG)
- Work as a business partner across the organisation to talk through relevant budget and forecasting
- Supporting senior members of the finance team to deliver ad hoc projects
Person Specification
- Ideally be a fully or part-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA)
- Experience in Special Educational Needs and Children with Disabilities (Dedicated Schools Grants and Non DSG)
- Experience of managing a small team ideally in a management accounting function
- Experience of financial modelling
- Excellent communication skills
