“Find your role”
- Manage and mentor a team of data engineers, providing guidance, coaching, and support to foster their professional growth and development.
- Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehouse solutions to support business requirements and analytical needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data science, analytics, IT, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that drive business value.
- Define and implement Data Engineering best practices, standards, and methodologies to ensure data quality, reliability, and scalability.
- Oversee the operation and monitoring of data systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of data products.
- Implement Agile and DevOps practices within the Data Engineering team to streamline development processes, improve collaboration, and accelerate delivery.
- Partner with IT and infrastructure teams to manage data platform infrastructure, cloud services, and governance initiatives.
- Drive data-driven continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging metrics and insights to optimize Data Engineering processes and drive business outcomes.
“Let's find out about you”
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role, preferably in a retail or e-commerce environment.
- Strong technical skills in Data Engineering, including expertise in ETL processes, data modelling, SQL, and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and familiarity with data warehouse solutions (e.g., Synapse, Databricks, Snowflake).
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team of data engineers, with a focus on fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proven track record of delivering complex data products within budget, with a focus on driving business impact and value.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
