In this role you will:

• Drive development, review, and agreement of required Control Changes for the overall operating model and Finance roles and responsibilities within that.
• Responsible for writing testing approach documents and gathering controls testing evidence during dry runs/ parallel runs.
• Design/uplift control documentations to in compliance with HSBC standards
• Support the development and delivery of the Global Finance Change book of work on ESG and Sustainable Finance deliverables including Group, Regional and country level site deliverables.
• Work with other programmes to ensure that Finance related ESG and Sustainable Finance dependencies are delivered within the timelines and to the standards required by Finance.
• Enable transition to BAU, ensuring completeness, governance, and adherence to Change Framework standards.
• Maintain strong, collaborative working relationships across Finance and other stakeholder groups.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

• Previous knowledge of SOX reporting and documenting process or Finance Assurance activities would be important.
• Experience within the Finance change function or Finance IT, Senior BA/SME capacity would be an added advantage.
• Prior experience in global regulatory/finance change within a Finance or Risk context.
• Knowledge of performing risk and control assessments
• Good knowledge of identifying, defining, and testing controls
• Excellent working knowledge of MS related products i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, Ms Visio.
• Good Cross-Finance knowledge and experience, able to confidently speak on behalf of Finance.
• Understanding of HSBC Group structures, values, behaviours, processes, and objectives.
• Proven track record for adopting an inclusive approach, achieving consensus on action plans for resolving complex issues and ability to exercise independent and out of the box thinking.
• Ability to influence and manage global and regional stake holder relationships in leading change.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 

This role is based in Birmingham, Hybrid.
