We have a very rare and exciting opportunity as a Senior Manager, Policy Sustainability Programme Manager. This is a key role whereby you will drive and support the execution of the strategy, and management of risks as new infrastructure is designed, deployed and operationalised. Sustainability is a rapidly evolving area and one of HSBC key strategic pillars. As the sustainability agenda is emerging, evolving rapidly and likely only to increase in scope and scale it requires a dedicated Programme management approach.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead execution of WPB Sustainability Execution and Sustainability Risk Management Programme.
• Coordinate implementation activity across 4 lines of the business within WPB: Retail, Private Bank, Insurance and Asset Management.
• Programme Governance and Group escalation to relevant GW Risk committees (incl. escalation to WPB Sustainability and Inclusion Oversight Forum /RMM, others)
• Lead the monitoring of ESG emerging risks as the agenda evolves and work with NFR to effectively manage these risks
• Lead the establishment of clear timelines and roadmaps for implementation of all material sustainability initiatives and policies, working effectively across the stakeholder group
• Support development of ESG related risk strategy in alignment with bank’s overall objectives and regulatory requirements, & staying informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in sustainability risk management
• Represent WPB at the Group Sustainability Programmes governance forums
• Build relationships with the wider WPB sustainability community and Group Sustainability, Group Risk community and key internal stakeholders
