Job description

Contract: Permanent, working 35 hours per week (Arts Council also recognises the benefit of flexible working as a valued part of the way we work, and welcome applications from individuals who require flexibility)

Salary: GBP46,709 per annum plus benefits including a final salary pension scheme, generous annual leave, and flexible and hybrid working.

Location: Any Arts Council Office Outside London (Location: Manchester, Newcastle, Leeds, Birmingham, Nottingham, Cambridge, Brighton, or Bristol (The role will be based at one of the office bases listed; however, we are operating a hybrid way of working and support our staff to make use of remote working options when combined with regular on-site contact days with other members of the team, normally 1-2 days a week)

Arts Council England has an exciting opportunity for a collaborative and experienced Strategic Partnerships Manager to join our inclusive team. This full-time Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships and Workforces & Skills role offers an attractive salary and benefits package.

As a Senior Manager, you will work closely with the Arts Council's strategic partners, including central and local government. This will include government departments, other government agencies, Arms' Length Bodies, National Lottery Distributors, local and combined authorities, the Local Government Association, and other partners in the public, private and voluntary sectors.

To give you an idea of how this role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do:

  • Work with partners on policy and programme development that enables the cultural sector and organisations in other sectors to develop capacity to deliver strategic outcomes.
  • Work on projects contributing to wider cultural, social and economic priorities.
  • Take a lead developing relationships between the Arts Council and partners, meeting with them, working to develop shared activities and programmes and reporting back to the Director, Strategic Partnerships, Director Workforces & Skills and Executive Directors as appropriate.

To apply for this Senior Manager role, you will need relevant experience in a similar role. You will also require the following:

  • Knowledge of the policy context in which we operate as it relates to strategic partnerships (with particular reference to place and local government) and Workforce, Skills and/or leadership
  • The ability to manage formal and informal relationships.
  • Experience working with key stakeholders in the public, private and voluntary sectors.
