Senior Marketing Manager - B2C

About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Ordnance Survey for a Senior Marketing Manager to join the Customer & Marketing team – supporting the Consumer Business Unit – that’s all about helping more people to get outside more often.
Taking responsibility for delivering our performance marketing ambitions, firstly through the implementation of CDP audiences into media, this role will ensure that our data is utilised to its fullest to provide an excellent experience for our customers, whilst providing maximum commercial benefit. Our plans are challenging but achievable and will see the successful candidate at the centre of delivering marketing transformation for the business, working with internal stakeholders, and providing direction and support to our CRM Manager and our external agency/tech provider.
We are looking for someone with
Experience in creating and delivering a omnichannel media strategy with demonstrable results
Experience of working with audience led segmentation into marketing communications to enhance business performance
Experience in using CDPs to enhance customer understanding and deliver business performance
This person will lead on the strategic and day-to day management of performance marketing channels, including paid search, app campaigns, affiliates and re-targeting
We are looking for someone with experience of the following
Plan, implement, and optimise paid advertising campaigns to meet specific KPIs, such as conversion rates, CTR, CPA and ROAS
Develop and execute comprehensive paid media strategies across various platforms, including Google Ads, Meta and more
Specific experience and success in the creation of campaigns and activities across Social Media, email and utilising CRM, with demonstrable success across KPIs
Stay updated with industry trends and adapt strategies accordinglyUtilise data-driven insights to measure the success of campaigns, create performance reports, and make data-backed recommendations for continuous improvement
Work closely with the SEO team to ensure paid media efforts align with organic search strategies and maximize overall online visibility
Work with eCommerce and Product teams to define digital channel requirements, spend and consistency of messaging
Continually monitoring activity, overall channel performance and budget to ensure daily, weekly, and monthly targets are being achieved, taking corrective action where required
Continuously conduct A/B tests to refine and optimise ad performance
Ensure all advertising complies with industry standards and legal requirements while maintaining ethical marketing practices
Keep up to date with the latest digital marketing trends, platforms, and technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge

About You
You will be a strategic thinker with a clear customer-focus, and possess the ability to understand business and customer demands and translate these into marketing actions and queries based on and across CRM, digital channels, content and creative; managing through to delivery and reporting – including agency management.
You will be up-to-date and comfortable dealing with the latest trends and best practices in customer marketing and communications, but more important its your ability to distil complex data, programmes of activity and understand tech solutions; yet still be able to manage the day to day, people and teams.
You will be comfortable working both cross-functionally as a team-player, and independently. You will use your experience and tenacity to drive your areas of responsibility forward, working with the Marketing, Projects, eCommerce Teams and the wider business, as well as agencies to bring projects – such as the overall CDP delivery – to fruition. You will possess and utilise excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

People management experience, comfortable providing clear direction, feedback and support across different functions/job roles
Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate up and down the organisation and manage stakeholders
Financial and commercial awareness: able to process and work with sales data and manage and adhere to and report on a budget
Proactive approach with strong decision-making skills
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with the ability to leverage advanced features of these platforms

Desirable attributes
A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field
Knowledge and experience in using biddable advertising platforms
Demonstrable experience in utilising CDP systems
Industry certifications (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Blueprint) are a plus

Salary – £48,861 to £55,130
Performance related bonus up to 10%
