Senior Mechanical Engineer - Energy From Waste

Astute’s Power team is partnering with a consultancy firm who work with various companies including within the energy sector to recruit a Senior Mechanical Engineer for the High Wycombe or Redditch area.

The Senior Mechanical Engineer role comes with a starting salary of between �55,000 - �60,000 + private medical + benefits.

Responsibilities and duties

As Senior Mechanical Engineer you will:

* Get involved in the full project life cycle, from optioneering to detailed design and installation.
* Carry out feasibility studied, site surveys and investigations.
* Work in a collaborative fashion with clients, partners and other team members to develop designs and project-wide solutions.
* Create specifications and scoping documents.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

* Degree qualified or similar in Mechanical Engineering
* Ideally be working towards, or have, chartered status.
* Experience working within the Power industry within similar areas as above.

Personal skills

The Senior Mechanical Engineer role would suit someone who is:

* Self-motivated with the ability to work alone or in a team.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Support the client valves and be the face of the client on site visits

* Up to �60,000 annual salary
* Car allowance if travel is required.
