Job description

Evolve are recruiting for a global pharmaceutical company who are seeking a Senior Medical Device Design Engineer to join their team. You will be responsible for leading a team to design and develop devices by applying your technical knowledge and management experience.

This is a permanent position on a full-time basis based at their Head Office in Cambridgeshire.

Ideal Requirements for the Senior Medical Device Design Engineer

  • Ideally 6-8 years’ experience in Medical Device Design technology ideally in respiratory, biologic, biosimilar or injectable products.
  • Experienced with 3D CAD; Creo and/or SolidWorks, analysis of tolerances, and simulation techniques (FEA, CFD) as applied to development of high-volume products.
  • Tangible experience of design for manufacture of high-volume moulded parts and assemblies for medical or drug delivery applications.
  • Previous experience within the pharmaceutical industry will be considered.

Role Responsibilities for the Senior Medical Device Design Engineer

  • Developing drug delivery devices within design teams, you will leverage your technical skills, insights, and management experience to address evolving industry standards, commercial needs, regulatory demands, and user requirements.
  • Apply your experience of Device Design, mechanism design, materials, and manufacturing processes, to bring technical leadership to device development projects.
  • You will use critical thinking to navigate complex design constraints, achieving robust, cost-effective devices that meet performance and reliability requirements for high-volume manufacturing.
