SalarySenior Multi-skilled engineer (Electrically Biased)
I am currently looking for an electrically biased engineer for a full-time permanent position for a static site in Watford, Hertfordshire. This working for a facilities maintenance contractor who have a great working culture and like to promote within.
Job Details include:
- Monday - Friday (07:00 - 16:00)
- Location Hertfordshire - Watford
- Company Van with personal use permitted.
- Salary 40K - 44K (depending on experience)
- Overtime available
- Pension
- Sick pay
Engineer role and responsibilities:
- Carrying Planned preventative maintenance PPM and complete paperwork and reports as job are taken on and completed.
- Carry out reactive and emergency breakdown tasks.
- Be available as you will take part in the on-call rota to offer full coverage and support to the site out of normal working hours.
- Assist with your colleagues and team members for larger maintenance jobs.
- Think of ways to proactively reduce energy consumption on site.
- Oversee and supervise visiting sub-contractors to ensure health and safety procedures are followed.
- Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures.
- Undertake additional duties whilst adopting a flexible attitude in relation to assisting others within the portfolio.
Requirements:
- Qualified city & Guild level 3 in electrical disciplines
- Experience in an electrical/mechanical maintenance role
- Exposure to testing & fault finding on both electrical and mechanical equipment such as: Hvac, plumbing, boilers, plant, ventilation, pumps, generators, switchgear, cables, batteries, small power & lighting.
- Understanding of SLA's and KPI's
- Knowledge of Health & Safety practices
- Good communication skills
- Ability to anticipate, diagnose and repair faults.
