To lead the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols relevant to the inpatient area in partnership with relevant colleagues To provide expert advice and clinical support to colleagues, contributing directly to the formulation and treatment plan. To provide specialist care for individuals presenting with or at high risk of developing physical health risks. Responsible for the evaluation of specific projects and formulate reports to inform future service provision/ developments. Monitor the effectiveness of the service, reporting outcomes against agreed service standards and performance indicators, participation in clinical audit, patient satisfaction questionnaires etc. Demonstrate an understanding of the resource implications of clinical decision making. Participate in the induction of any new team members/ students offering advice support, and teaching/development opportunities as required. Provide timely, accurate statistical information to demonstrate clinical activity Ensure own personal practice and professional development is planned and achieved in line with revalidation requirements. Provide clinical leadership and act as an expert resource and role model for the multidisciplinary team. The post holder will be expected to provide evidence-based care and have an active involvement in any research and audit within their sphere of responsibility.
