About the role:
You will be working as a Senior Occupational Therapist and will be responsible for;
- To continuously assess, evaluate and review objectives and desired outcomes in collaboration with the patient, carers and multidisciplinary team.
- To have overall accountability for the planning and management of own specialised caseload of patients
- Undertake therapy assessments
- Provide therapeutic advice to patients, carers, and clinicians using evidence-based practice
- To provide planning around discharging patients in the MDT.
- To liaise and provide feedback on the patients who have been referred.
- Providing training to other healthcare professionals.
All applicants for the role of Senior Occupational Therapist must meet with following criteria;
- BSc (Hons) Degree/ Diploma in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
- Current HCPC registration
- Minimum of 2 years experience of post-graduate professional development
- Have experience working at band 6 level or above.
- Evidence of CPD
- Having experience working with MDT is desirable.
- Previous experience working in an Outpatient Setting in OT.
- Evidence of decision-making skills
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated & able to motivate others.
