Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Operations Engineering Team to provide clear and effective line management and support in full compliance with Royal Household standards and policies.
- Oversee a mixture of planned and reactive maintenance such as tender processes, schedules of works and annual works projects or statutory compliance.
- Take on a range of building services responsibilities.
- Provide guidance and support to a small team of skilled engineers.
- Negotiate with and meet the needs of multiple stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Ensure your decisions you make are made with a long term view to modernising the systems being used and find new ways to achieve greater efficiencies.

About you 1
Essential Criteria
- A qualified Engineer (IEng) or (CEng) Chartered Engineer, with varied and extensive M&E experience.
- Experience of working on multi-site estates within an operations environment or with historic or listed buildings would be a real advantage, as well as a good command of Building Management Systems.
- Organised, pro-active and with lots of initiative, you'll know how to juggle a varied range of property challenges, adapting to meet to tight deadlines and changing circumstances.
- Experienced in statutory compliance and risk, cost control and contract management, and project management.
- Strong people management skills will be vital to your success; you’ll have a genuine interest in motivating and leading a team, whilst also progressing their professional development.
- A strong customer focus approach to work with the ability to build positive relationships with senior management and external contractors.
- Have the ability to convey complex information and quickly become a trusted source of advice.
- Ability to quickly assess problems and be able to create an innovative solution.
