Senior Park Ranger

We are searching for a Senior Park Ranger to join our team. In this key role you'll be responsible for leading a team of Rangers to guarantee the visitors experience is always exceeding expectations by ensuring park infrastructure, facilities and landscapes are always kept in excellent condition. Working closely with the Park Manager you will have strong leadership skills and a proactive, problem solving approach.

Alongside excellent customer service skills, you'll demonstrate knowledge and expertise in fisheries management, countryside management and hold a wealth of practical land management skills and qualifications. You'll also manage and oversee the planning and delivery of park infrastructure capital projects.

You'll be responsible for all aspects of safety and security on site for customers and staff, including supervision of the safe use of leisure equipment, security of all assets and the service and maintenance of vehicles and machinery. You'll also be responsible for managing volunteer groups and coordinating activities.

You'll also be responsible for the organisation, management and delivery of park events including angling competitions, sporting and corporate events.

In this role you will be required to drive so a valid driving licence is essential.

• Experience in the maintenance and management of country parks

• Experience in land management and hold relevant land and water practical qualifications

• Experience in leading a team

• Excellent customer service skills

• Excellent communication and social skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills

• Ability to be flexible and have a willingness to learn

• Availability to work weekends and unsocial hours

• Ability to work outside in all weathers

• Show enthusiasm about our parks and ability to share enthusiasm with customers

• Full driving licence required
