About the role
Internal Applicants Only
The Performance and Intelligence Team provides high quality data and intelligence from a diverse range of data sets to execute effective data analysis to inform, influence and shape policy making, strategy development and budget planning for the Council.
Our development plans include providing more proactive business intelligence, by being able to report on demand patterns, service utilisation trends and customer profiling, to identify ways of supporting our residents better and more efficiently. We are also exploring the implementation of modern self-service visualisation and analytics across the Council’s services.
We need people to join us who can help. We are looking to appoint across multiple Senior Performance Analyst roles.
What will you be doing?
The role would serve to lead a small team of officers in delivering effective and proactive performance and intelligence management.
Develop systematic models for the construction, collection and analysis of management information in order to inform policy, effective planning, strategic direction and primarily the delivery of service through the delivery of detailed deep dive analysis reporting.
The role works closely with service managers, report developers, business analysts, IT and the wider Performance, Intelligence and Partnerships service, and will lead efforts to embed an organisation-wide performance management culture by delivering a holistic view of performance against strategic outcomes, business plans and service level priorities
About you
We are looking for colleagues who see the world through a data lens, are proactive, self-managing, curious and have a self-reliant approach to problem solving. Good communication and strong client facing skills are also a prerequisite.
In this role specifically, we are looking for someone who is skilled in using a range of data sources and analytical techniques to produce high-quality performance analysis and reports in order to generate data insights that drive decision-making and service improvement.
This role also manages two people and leads a team with many different clients in a fast-paced environment, so line and team management skills, and good judgement and advice are also important. Experience of local government or public sector in general would be beneficial.
