Senior Pharmacist - Nutrition And Aseptics | The Royal Wolverhampton Nhs Trust

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated pharmacist to join the Pharmacy Aseptic team as a Senior Pharmacist for Nutrition and aseptic services. The Pharmacy Aseptic Unit is responsible for the preparation of aseptically prepared medicines for patients across the Trust. This includes provision of parenteral nutrition for adults, as well as SACTS for cancer patients.
This post is part of the succession planning strategy for the pharmacy department and you will have the unique opportunity to work with and be supported by the current post holder.
Experience in aseptic services are essential, but further training and support will be provided as necessary.
Successful candidate will be appointed at either Band 7 or Band 8a depending on experience and meeting essential criteria appropriate to grade.

To act as a specialist aseptic pharmacist in the provision of a comprehensive parenteral nutrition service for adult patients.
To provide pharmacist support in the Aseptic Unit according to the needs of the service including clinical verification of parenteral Nutrition and SACT prescriptions.
To act as an authorised pharmacist in the aseptic unit carrying out final check and release of a range of aseptically prepared products.
