A Vacancy at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic, motivated, and dynamic clinical pharmacist to work in a collaborative clinical & Academic post between the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust and the University of Birmingham. The post holder will work across the two organisations.
At the Royal Wolverhampton, you will work alongside our principal pharmacist for AMS to deliver the Antimicrobial Stewardship agenda, improve patients care and reduce antimicrobial resistance.
At Birmingham University you will be contributing to the well-established educational and research excellence of the university.

Our friendly Pharmacy Education and Training Team are in place to support your advanced practice development.
The post holder will work alongside our principal pharmacist for Antimicrobial Stewardship and consultant microbiologists.
Support the Trust on the system wide delivery of AMS and to work with local, regional and national stakeholders to ensure delivery of the NHSE Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) strategy.
Providing highly specialist evidence-based advice in infection management whilst training all grades of clinical staff on to encourage and ensure good prescribing practices, optimise outcomes and reduce individual patient and organisational risk.
Attend regular AMS and antifungal stewardship (AFS) ward rounds.
Lead, manage and strategically develop specialist clinical pharmacy and medicines optimisation services related to the use of antimicrobial agents within the Trust.
At the university, the postholder will participate in the design, development, delivery, and leadership of a range of programmes of study with a focus on the principles of Clinical Pharmacy relevant to undergraduate pharmacy, postgraduate education, or CPD delivery. This will involve a wide range of subjects relevant to the practice of pharmacy or clinical applications of pharmacy. Scholarship aligned to the core research themes of the College and/or School would be advantageous.

Applicants who have not completed a post graduate diploma in clinical pharmacy or equivalent qualification, may be considered for a band 7 -8a step up post.
Applicants must be registered with the GPhC, have comprehensive experience as a clinical pharmacist in a hospital setting, and have a postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy or equivalent.
