Your new role working as a Senior Commercial Account Handler will be within an established Wholesale Lloyd's Broker who specialise in the placement of commercial business into the London market on behalf of UK and European intermediaries. Located in the heart of the City, the business is fast-growing as well as fast-paced with a young and vibrant team. Due to the growth within their Wholesale Commercial team a new position for a Senior PI Account Handler role has arisen.
Your new role
Your new role working as a PI Account Handler will be dealing with the general day-to-day administration and account broking management of a Wholesale PI book of business. Managing renewals and renewal process as well as the preparation and printing of all documents required for broking. Other duties will include the broking and liaising with underwriters to obtain quotations and providing additional information as required. Communication of terms back to the client broker as required as well as the preparation of Cover Notes, Slips, debiting and other pre and post-order documentation and processes. You will be responsible for your own Renewals book.
What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience working as an Account Handler, handling Professional Indemnity risks handling either Wholesale or London Market business will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will have a good understanding of Wholesale and London market processes
Ideally, you will be Cert CII qualified or progression towards. You will be confident obtaining information from clients and Underwriters via telephone & e-mail and will have the ability to build good relationships with both Clients and Underwriters/Insurers. You will have communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as good organisational ability. You will ideally have experience using broking systems.
