Senior Planner – London

If so, Murphy is currently looking for a Senior Planner to lead the planning function on their allocated project, ensuring that all projects within their portfolios are effectively planned, scheduled, and monitored.
What you will be doing
- Undertake the tender planning role in accordance with the business’ procedures and processes and the requirements of the contract.
- Ensure that integrated, whole life programmes are prepared from first principles
- Contribute the required written submission material.
- Attend the bid review meeting to contribute a clear view of the work scope and the intentions for delivering it by reference to prepared material.

- In consultation with Estimator, advise project team of required feedback reports
- Ensure that the scheduling of programmes is appropriate, contract / procedurally compliant, robust, and obtainable.
- Undertake and participate in programme risk workshops using tools such as QSRA.
- Develop and maintain effective communication and collaborative relationships with the Client and other project stakeholders.
Who we’re looking for
- Experienced planner who has worked on a civils major project previously for a contractor.
- Ideal background in a site role (Engineering, planning, management) for a Tier 1 contractor
- NEC contract experience essential
- Programme management of consultants, stakeholder, and approval processes
- Providing project progress reports to team and leading the compilation of upstream client reporting
About the Project
- Thames Water AMP7 is a 4-year long framework plus 5-year extension into AMP8.
- Murphy is a Primary Contractor in Lot 5 North London Infrastructure, value £200m (Inside the M25 – North of the River Thames)
- The framework will consist of the delivery of ECI, detailed design, build, commissioning and handover of water and wastewater infrastructure schemes.
- Include individual projects up to £30m with a focus on works working within the public domain and on road carriageways.
- Design Partner in place.
- Featuring repairs and build of new assets with a bias towards Clean Water networks with a few waste projects also on the books.
- Sizable Temporary works and working closely with Stake holders are part of day-to-day activities
