My client in the London, is seeking experienced Senior Planning Conservation Officer - to work with the Planning Department on an initial 3 month contract.
The role is to assist the strategic planning and regeneration process by: providing specialist advice on historic buildings, conservation of the built environment and urban design such that: the historic and architectural fabric of the borough is safeguarded, enhanced and makes a positive contribution to the renewal of the Borough; and ensure that the highest possible design standards are achieved in new developments affecting the historic built environment.
Good communication skills and the ability to respond confidently in a variety of situations are essential.
My client is ideally looking for someone who has experience of working on planning applications, and who understands local authority policies and procedures.
Eligibility for membership of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation (IHBC) is desirable but not essential.
JD and can be supplied.
This role can be worked on a hybrid basis, ideally 2 days per week in the office.
