We are looking for a Senior PowerBI Analyst with a deep understanding of DAX, SQL, and Synapse Analytics to join our UK-based team. The successful candidate will be adept at managing data pipelines, working with data exports in Business Central, and possess a general understanding of financial reporting.
As a professional specializing in designing, developing, and maintaining advanced PowerBI dashboards and reports, your role will be crucial in driving business decisions and optimizing data usage within the organization. By expertly crafting DAX formulas for complex calculations and data analysis, you will enable stakeholders to gain valuable insights from the data presented in PowerBI.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced PowerBI dashboards and reports to drive business decisions.
- Expertly craft DAX formulas for complex calculations and data analysis within PowerBI.
- Utilise SQL queries to manipulate and retrieve data efficiently from various databases.
- Implement and manage data pipelines to ensure seamless data flow and integration.
- Work with data exports from Business Central to optimise data usage in PowerBI.
- Leverage Synapse Analytics to handle large volumes of data and perform big data analytics.
- Provide insights into financial reports including General Ledger (GL), Profit & Loss (P&L), and Balance Sheets.
- Collaborate with finance teams to enhance financial reporting and analysis.
- Conduct training sessions for staff on PowerBI functionalities and best practices.
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a PowerBI-focused role with strong DAX and SQL skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Synapse Analytics and understanding of data warehousing solutions.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and data export processes.
- Solid foundation in financial reporting and accounting principles.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex data in a clear manner.
- Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving capabilities.

Born out of a scanning company, we still have four main scanning centres across the UK where we are working on large digitisation projects for the NHS, the Ministry of Defence and the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority. And usually, we are busy digitising most of the exam papers undertake in the UK every year.
