I'm looking for an experienced children's social worker to join Staffordshire County Council in the Children with Disabilities Service. The team covers Cannock & Lichfield and is a well established offering for young people with a variety of different disabilities. You will be joining an established team consisting of 7 Social Workers, 2 Family Practitioners and 2 Business Support Officers.
Key Responsibilities
- Statutory home visits
- School visits
- Completing/updating assessments
- Attending MDTs
- Chairing Meetings
- Working with children under CP, CIN and Children in Care
- Multi-agency working with partner agencies
- Multi-disciplinary working with other professionals
- Presenting to Resource Panel
- Updating children's plans
Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with relevant degree or equivalent qualification
- Registered with Social Work England
- Experience working with vulnerable children
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Full enhanced DBS
